WHAT? DID YOU WANT A BIG RED BOW?

Nissan was founded for one reason only. The thrill of the drive. So when we were asked to make our first "retail" ads, and to make them "thrilling" no less, we balked. Why us? Well, because the brand didn't want them to feel retail-y. So we said sure and flipped the formula. No more cheesy stock music, slow moving cars, mouthfuls of sales jargon, smarmy dealers, or big red bows on holiday vehicles.

We thought, if you're going to stare at a car for 30 seconds, why not be glued to the edge of your seat. So we reinvented retail. Made the spots cinematic, visceral thrillers, cut with a dose of self-aware wit. As in, yeah, there's still a low APR or whatever.

We debuted "Thrill of the Deal" during the holidays, with Brie Larson at the wheel of a Sentra, drag racing a 3-series. We left the BMW and all of the boring snowy driveway ads in our dust.

The second film is us having fun with our director and our editor using all the pretty film we captured (ungraded).
