Hey, I’m Basil. I’m a Group Creative Director at TBWA Chiat Day NY with 15 years of experience in advertising. I studied history and philosophy at the University of Toronto and then went on to graduate from the Academy of Design majoring in advertising.

I worked in Toronto for seven years and was ranked one of the Top 20 Most Awarded Art Directors in Canada by Strategy Magazine before moving to David&Goliath in Los Angeles.

While living in Los Angeles, I’ve had the honor of judging the 2015 Art Director’s Show and the 2016 ANDYs.

I’ve worked on a wide variety of brands including: Nissan America, Kia Motors, The California Lottery, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Toyota, Stella Artois, Nestea, Virgin Mobile, Covergirl, Proctor & Gamble, Novartis, Nokia, The Toronto Zoo, Habitat For Humanity, Kraft foods, Timex and Dove.

Aside from advertising I’m also into film, screenwriting, ancient history, astronomy, magic and Freemasonry.

My work has been recognized by The Art Director’s Show, Cannes Lions, The One Show, Lürzer's Archive, The Clios and pretty much every Canadian award show.
