The Toyota Venza ‘Snowy Road’ dynamic banner was designed to demonstrate the All-Wheel Drive Venza’s ability to handle the harshest Canadian winters. When viewers visited their favorite news sites, they were greeted with the fake cover story, “Winter Snow Warning Issued: Possible Record Snowfall Tomorrow” and an accompanying image of a snow-covered highway. A Venza featured in a typical 40k banner drives out of the ad it’s in and over the actual fake “news story” right into the article’s snowy image and traverses the icy highway with ease. The Venza then reappears in the 40k banner with snow-covered wheels.
The project was featured at Cannes Lions, One Show, and every Canadian show recognized the digital campaign as one of the year’s best, including Marketing Gold.
